Grade 120 Chain Slings.

Chain slings manufactured in a grade 120 chain offer the highest strength available on the market, making them excellent for heavy duty lifting applications.

Grade 120 chain is a new generation of high performance chain, developed by the chain experts at pewag. The square link design offers working load limits that are 50% higher than grade 80 chain, and 20% stronger than grade 100 chain.

These increased levels of strength also allows for a reduction of overall chain weight, which is why heavy duty grade 120 lifting chain is ideal for slings.

The revolutionary square link style of grade 120 chain also creates a higher resistance to wear. Because of the increased contact between the bear surfaces on the links, the pressure is lessened, reducing the overall wear. This can greatly improve the working life of the sling. The chain’s square profile also offers up to 38% higher moment of resistance, compared to regular round link chain in the same diameter.

While the design offers significant benefits in terms of wear, the powder coat finish adds a further measure of protection to the steel. Like our Grade 120 Bulk Chain, grade 120 chain slings are manufactured in bright blue to make them quickly identifiable from other chain grades.

An adjustable style chain sling features shorter lengths of chain with a hook attached to the same oblong master as the regular leg. This allows the user to quickly shorten the leg to any length. A range of ending fittings is also available on adjustable leg chain slings.

All of our grade 120 chain lifting slings are proof tested to 2x the vertical limit. Each has a metal tag attached with rated capacity information. A printed certificate is also included at no extra cost.
