Type 316 stainless steel offers extra corrosion resistance to most salts, chemicals and acids so it’s ideal for outdoor uses, particularly in marine environments. Stainless steel cable is an excellent choice for railing systems for decks, docks, porches, etc., especially when an unobstructed view is necessary.
